10 Fruits and Vegetables on the "Most-Contaminated" List

Whole foods used to print a list of 10 reasons to buy organic. # 1 on the list for most people is because you are less toxic, healthier and feel better.

The Government has a list called the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and on it they list all the chemicals that are known to be hazardous to humans. And many of the chemicals that are used on the food you eat are listed to disrupt your immune system, nervous system, reproductive system and hormonal system.

Now I don’t’ know about you, but this is not a good thing in my world even in so called “safe” levels.

A group called The Environmental Working Group reviewed more than 100,000 tests performed by the USDA and found that the following fruits and vegetables consistently showed the highest levels of toxic chemicals on and in them.

This doesn’t mean not to eat them. It means Make sure you get these as Organic Always.

Listed in order, from most to least Toxic

1. peaches
2. strawberries
3. apples
4. spinach
5. nectarines
6. celery
7. pears
8. cherries
9. potatoes
10. bell peppers

next week I will give you a list of fruits and Veggie’s that are the least toxic. Or the ones you can get away with them not being organic.
