Faith and Belief

Rediscovered Faith and Desire (for the 5 th or 6 th time I think)

Every time I forget the universe reminds me, faith is all that is needed.

Faith is different than beliefs.

In my world beliefs are what happens when you have a reason or experience that 'causes' you to believe a certain way.

Faith is something you choose for no other reason than to choose. Like the quote from second hand lions when the old grandpa is giving the kid a speech about believing. That these are just things you believe in because they are good to believe in. Not because they are right but just because. (or something like that).

Faith is the same way. You could even define faith as choosing to believe for no other reason than you choose. In the face of all evidence either way, you choose to believe.

This is the power that moves mountains. The power that created the universe. Is more needed? Well, not really, unless you believe it is. : )

See, the power of belief is that if you believe it to be true, it is. Doesn't matter if it actually is or not, if you believe it, it is true and real, for you at least.

The power of faith is that it can shape beliefs. It can shape physical reality.

Let me say it like this. If you truly have complete faith that X is going to happen. Then whatever needs to happen in the world around you will happen so X happens. If you need to get a new job, learn something new, sell a home, or whatever is needed to allow X to happen will.

Lets say you have faith you will find a new job you love. Many people say you should then figure out what you want, you should look for new jobs, you should apply for new jobs, etc. That if you have a goal and take actions steps towards it you can achieve your goals.

I say that if you have faith, if figuring out what you want, applying for new jobs, etc, is needed, then it will happen. You will not have to force it to happen. That is the power of faith.

Faith means all of the things that truly need to happen to make something true, will. If you have complete faith. If you choose to believe for no other reason than to believe.

In my world that is.

If you want to see for yourself in a logical way how beliefs really have the power to shape your entire world all by themselves, here is the perfect book.
