Be prepared for Personal Reviews – get detail of everything you have done – keep an ongoing detail of this.
Ways you have:
- Saved the company money
- Helped the company make more money
- Keep clients happy
- Keep unhappy clients from leaving
- Generated more work and leads for the business,
- etc, etc.
Can I ask you to do me a favor (to the person doing the review) – I put down all of the things that are my job, I put them all on this list. Can you go over this list, and If I forgot anything, can you help me add to that list? You know – it would take 5 people to replace me – how much more worth do you think I am?
On the Left hand side of a piece of paper put down all the problems, crisis, and what You have encountered in the business.
Right hand side, this is how you handled the problem. What you learned from this problem.
Bring this in for review – ask the person doing the review.
This is all the problems I have handled, how I handled them, and what I learned, can you tell me if I could have done anything differently or if there is anything I forgot.
Keep this list on goingly as well. It only takes 5 minutes a week to do both of these
