Here are my beliefs on God and Religion Summed up
To me religion and spirituality are like a bunch of blind men around and elephant. They are all holding a different part, the ear, leg, tail, body, head, foot, etc. and then they start to describe what they are holding. And they then end up arguing and killing each other over who is right. Well, they all are. They just don't see they are different parts and ways of describing the same thing.
My GOD is best described as Energy. Einstein's equation of E=MC squared sums it all up. That Energy is all there is and is everything. That the Energy is not separate or distinct, no matter how it may appear to our senses that we have separate bodies, separate minds, and are separate people. We are all one because we are all the same Energy. God. This is the creative forces of the universe that created everything Energy.
It is the conscious intelligence of this Energy that is more of the attributable aspects of GOD that religion often talks about.
The reason we were created was so GOD (we) could know ourselves. Because if everything is all there is and is all the same, there is no contrast to know anything else. So this dream or illusion called the world that we live in is the contrast. But it doesn't really exist, kind of like a dream. When you wake up from a dream did anything really happen? Did anything really change?
Nope. And soon we will wake up from this dream, and realize that nothing really happened, but we will wake up knowing our self, God and the Son. Who we are. Both.
I don't really believe in anything that is fear based in any religion. I think that most of that stuff was used to try and control people. Not going to say if the control with for honorable or dishonorable intentions, just was to control and is no longer needed.
If you really want to talk about a hell, it is described as being separate from GOD, well, right now most people are. So if you really wanted, this would be hell, this world most people experience.
Control is summed up.
People experience fear because they see themselves as separate. As not part of the whole. So then comes danger, and the possibility they can be hurt. The possibility of death. They then projected this onto God. Even though God is just pure love.
So the people in power experienced this, and so they then thought that you cannot having a bunch of fear crazed people running around. They need guidance, they need rules. So they created rules, which happened to be based on fear, in an attempt to help create order and peace because of what fear based people can do. |
