I went camping this weekend. It was fun other than the wind. There is a joke in ND about why it is so windy. Because is it ever windy often. Even more than Chicago, a lot more.

Why is ND so windy? Because Minnesota Sucks and Montana Blows. (In case you do not no US geography, those to states are on either side of ND)

What is a Sky Ski? – (And man are they FUN!!)
They are like a wake board but have a 3 foot hydrofoil below the board and you sit in it like a chair. You are strapped into it.

Then when you get going, when you lean back, you can leave the surface of the water and actually be going on the hydrofoil. When you are doing this hydrofoilers call this “flying” because it literally feels like you are flying.

Your head is about 8-10 feet off the water. The ride becomes smooth because there are no waves because you are riding on the foil that is below the surface of the water.

And one of the greatest parts, they take so little effort to ride once you master riding on the hydro foil. You can literally be behind the boat for an hour and barely be getting fatigued.

And if you have never skied or wake boarded before, you are lucky if you get 10 minutes max with either of those before you need to take a break.
