Who is your mentor?
The one thing that all successful people have in common is they had someone who taught them or mentored them in what they were successful at.
Even Michael Jordon, the best basketball player in the world (ok, at least the top 5 best) had a coach.
His coach could not play basketball near as good as Michael, but he did know how to coach Michael to be his best.
So I went out and hired a property management company to help manage the property because my mentor (Seminars, Audio CD’s and Books) were just not cutting it.
Books and seminars and Audio CD’s can often be enough. I have done a lot from those mentors. But sometimes it is just not enough.
How do you know if it is enough?
Look at the results. How are they? If they are not what you are wanting, you need something else.
The manager pin pointed that the missing link was training for my leasing agent. As soon as she got that training, we started leasing out apartments like gang busters. It is awesome how the 80/20 principle works.
In case you have not heard of it, 80% of your results in life come from 20% of your effort. Now, it might not be the exact ratio, but it is close to that.
The book is 80/20 principle by Richard Koch. I love the book. |
