"There is no comparison between that which is lost by not succeeding and that which is lost by not trying." -- Francis Bacon
I ask for a lot, and I hear no a lot. But you know what, I also hear yes.
If you don’t ask, because you are afraid the answer will be “no” then the funny part is, you already have gotten a “no” because you didn’t ask.
We make “no” mean so many things as humans. It just means no.
The guy who started Starbucks got some 250+ people who said “no” to his idea to start starbucks. The guy who started KFC got over 1,000 people who said “no” to his idea of starting a chicken place. Bill gates got over 200 “no’s” to his idea of starting Microsoft. The author of the chicken soup for the soul book (the book that has sold more books than any other book in the world except the bible) also got hundreds of “no’s” from publishers to publish his book. They all said it wouldn’t sell. (imagine being one of those people who said no)
So why am I saying this? because no is just no. Keep going, keep asking, keep moving forward and who knows what will happen. |
