“Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.” --William Feather
I have been writing a lot lately about failure, success and continuing on.
So many people stop once when they come into one obstacle, one set back, one thing happening that wasn’t planned to happen, anything. People will let any reason or excuse stop them. Don’t give up. Keep going. That is where true success comes from.
I know I have said this many times, and I am going to say it again.
Thomas Edison FAILED 1500 times in making the light bulb.
The guy who founded starbucks was turned down by over 200 people who said his idea would never work.
The guy who founded KFC was turned down by over 1,000 people saying his idea would not work.
Bill gates was turned down by over 200 people saying his Microsoft idea wouldn’t work.
What do all of these people have in common?
They don’t give up. They continue even in the face of hundreds of people saying no. Failing hundreds of times. They kept going. Now look at them.
Take action, start moving towards your goals. Remember, you will fail. But failure is only permanent when you let it stop you. If you keep going, the failures become temporary set backs. Learning Situations. Feedback.
Keep going. |
