Often people have arguments with reality. What I mean by that and what this quote points to is all the Shoulding people do on themselves. You Should to this, life should be like that, this shouldn’t have happened, this shouldn’t be like this, this shouldn’t . . . .
People are always shoulding on themselves. Whenever you use the word “Should” you are in an argument with reality. Because they way it is, is the way it is. And all the shoulds in the world are not going to make it any different. Only you taking actions (and complaining doesn’t count as actions) to change it will make it any different.
And as the quote says, if you cannot solve it, it should be that way and it is reality.
