“Perseverance and audacity generally win.” -- Dorothee DeLuzy
As much as it may seem that “good” should be rewarded most. It is not. Why? Because of how much validity this statement has.
The drug companies and tobacco companies are extremely persistent and have tons of audacity. And what is happening? They are winning.
Drugs (prescription and non) are killing over 300,000 people every year in America. (JAMA July 26 th 2000 issue) and yet people continue to take drugs.
Everyone knows tobacco is not good for you, but yet, people still do it.
So the question is, what do you want to have perseverance and audacity with? Because if you do, you will win. Right or wrong, good or bad.
Another every day example. Have you ever just given up arguing with someone because they are so persistent? |
