I am helping you create your goals. Because simply creating them exponentially increases your chances of achieving them. Even if you do nothing else.
The basic Outline.
- Write down what you want
- Put time frames on all your goals
- Reword any wants necessary so they are all stated in the positive
- Make sure you have at least 1 lifetime goal, a few 10 year goals, and some 1 year goals.
- Go back and ask yourself, “Why?” – why do you want the things you listed.
- Create action steps for each goal
- Wherever there is resistance or struggle in moving towards the goal, there are belief systems or unconscious blocks to allowing the goals to manifest in your life – remove them or change them
You wrote down everything you want.
So this week, put a time frame on all the goals. Put a realistic goal of when you want to accomplish the goal by.
Use the word “before” Month/Day/year, I will have accomplished ____________
Putting the time frame on your goals does not mean they have to be accomplished by then. It is simply your request, your prayer to the universe of when you would like this goal to be real.
Many people are afraid they do not know the steps of how to accomplish what they want to accomplish.
Don’t worry about that. We will work with that in the future.
Almost all forward progress is made by people who don’t know how they are going to do something, but commit to it and start taking action towards it.
Stop waiting until you know how to do it and just start taking action.
Do you think Thomas Edison knew how to make a light bulb when he started?
Nope, he just knew he wanted to do it. He failed over 2,000 times before he finally got the light bulb right.
Do you think Henry Ford new how to make a V-8 Engine before he told his designers to make it? They tried and failed for over a year before they finally did it.
Do you think Lewis and Clark New how to get to the West? Nope, they started walking anyway, and they made it.
Do you think Christopher Columbus new how to get to the West? Nope, but he did it anyway.
Know your goal, then start taking action. Don’t let the fact you don’t know every step of the way stop you. Learn along the way.
As a great book says, Ready, Fire, Aim. In that order. Once you fire, once you take action, adjust accordingly to keep going in the direction you want.
Airplanes are off course 99% of the time. The pilot makes constant correction, based on feedback of where they want to go and where they are going, and the planes end up where they want to go.
Take action, you will get sidetracked, you will be not going straight towards you goal, but you will be moving towards it. Then adjust your course, aim, and you will get there.
Again, put this somewhere or save it on your computer some where you will know where it is next week. When you do this, congratulate yourself. You just became in the top 4% of people in the world. 97% of the most successful people in the world all write down goals. Only 5% of the people who are unsuccessful people write down their goals. |
