Now, what does it mean to give up being right? And in light of you focus on what you get, how can you give up being right?
Switch to asking yourself, does this serve me? Does this bring me closer to what I want.
I used to tell people all the time, I am always right. Not because I know everything. But I know what I know, and I shut my mouth when I don’t know something.
Just recently, with the help of a friend, I decided to change that. To I am always sharing something that serves you when I say I am. That when I don’t know if something serves you, I will just shut up and ask questions.
Do your beliefs serve you? Does the conversation/argument you are having serve you? Does the choice your about to make serve you.
So often people get hung up on doing what is “right” not realizing that “right” is all perspective based on individual beliefs, life experiences and ‘moral’ views.
Instead, does it serve you? |
