I watched Buddy Guy in concert last night. The guy has got to be like 70 years old. And it was great.
He played because he loved to play. It wasn’t a job for him. He wasn’t doing it because he needed to. He was doing it because he loved doing it.
What I saw was when you do what you love, people want a part of it. No matter what it is.
I had a quote of the week a while back that was something like.
When you set your soul on fire people will come to watch you burn.
That when you are passionate about what you do, people will love to see you, hear what you have to say, and want to take a piece of you home with them.
So whether you are teaching, going to your boss for a raise, working in customer service, or whatever. If you create the passion for what you are doing, people will just naturally want to see you do it.
And you can create that passion in anything you do. Whether or not you are currently passionate in it. Or weather or not you think you should or could be passionate about it. That will come at another time, possibly. : ) |
