Everyone knows sugar is bad? But how bad is it really?
Sugar decreases immune function 20% for 15 minutes - and I am not talking about just colds and flu’s, but cancer. Cancer cells are a result of your immune system not being able to get rid of mutated cells.
Sugar increases the stress response in your body as well. This means it speeds up the aging process and causes more stress in your life.
Within the first 45 minutes sugar causes moodiness and irritability.
Sugar causes hormones to be release in your body. Cortisol and Adrenaline. These are part of the stress response. They are also markers for speeding up heart disease, Alzheimer’s and aging.
These same hormones also reduce the cells elastin which decreases their elasticity(or flexibility), which is the main cause of signs of aging. Like wrinkles, sagging skin, etc.
So not eating sugar means you will slow your aging process – reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer, & Alzheimer’s
