The world is not “real” and therefore forgiveness is easy because there is ‘nothing’ to forgive. This can sometimes be a stretch for some people to really grasp. But I like to think of it in terms like this.
When you are dreaming at night while asleep, it sure seems real, but when you wake up. . . what did the dream really matter? What really happened? Was any of it of any significance?
Nope. It was all a dream.
Well, eventually, we are all going to wake up from this dream we so often call reality. And when we do, it will be like, whoaaaaa, what was I so uptight about? None of it really mattered.
Not that this means go do whatever you want without repercussions. Because in my opinion, there is one purpose to this dream. To wake up. And the quickest way to that awakening I know of is through forgiveness.
Forgiveness in the sense that there is nothing to forgive. Because it is all a dream. |
