Women are naturally monogamous
For my article on how men are naturally polygamous go here
For Millions of years this is how it went. Women would go out and try and find the man with the best genes and have his child. Having a baby is an 18 year commitment. So you have to make sure you find the right man, otherwise the next 18 years will be like what the heck was I doing?
So for millions of years women for the most part have been “bread” to look for the one right guy. That is why we have a society of mostly women who are wanting to get married to the one right guy and have his kids.
Now here is the most interesting part to me.
When a guy agrees to be in a monogamous relationship, it is like asking him to put his hand on a stove and keep it there. Yes it is possible, but it is a natural instinct to pull your now burning hand off the stove.
When a woman agrees to be in a monogamous relationship it is like asking her to let her natural reflexes of pulling her hand away from a burning stove take over. It is easy and takes no effort to pull your hand away from the stove.
Now before I get the hate mail, hold on a bit longer.
This is until you change your genes.
See, knowing this about guys and gals actually gives you the power to do something about it. So you are not asking a guy to keep his hand on the host stove.
So he is naturally inclined to be monogamous. But he must change his genes to be so. Because odds are, right now they are not.
Your Genes are not set in stone. You can actually change your Genes.
Bruce lipton – a PHD and Cellular Biologist – actually has proved and shown how you can change your genes.
He has a great article on this here or you can get a video called – Conscious Parenting.
This video talks about the nature nurture debate of what has a bigger influence on a child and shows you how it is NEITHER. The biggest influence on our genes and who we are is our consciousness. And that by changing our consciousness we can transcend both nature and nurture.
So what does this mean?
Unless you realize that most men have a natural tendency towards polygamy in their genes, AND you do something to consciously change those Genes, it will be harder for a man to stay monogamous even if he wants to.
There is another great DVD by bruce lipton that talks about how to change your beliefs and change your Genes. You can get it here.
