Many of us think the voice in our head is us. The voice in our head is our friend. The voice in our head is to be trusted above all else.
Some don’t even know there is a voice in their head, because they are so identified with the voice, they think it is them, and not a voice.
I just watched a great movie last night called Revolver- made in 2005.
It is one of the best movies I have ever seen that shows just how amazing the ego is, and how it is our greatest “enemy”
I don’t really see the ego as an enemy – because we made it up, the part of our mind that is one with God made up the ego to keep us asleep. And so how can something imaginary and not real, really be an enemy? But – it can be helpful to think of the ego as the enemy in the beginning.
Now, I watched the movie twice last night. It as that good.
And the beauty is, the movie is disguised as an action film, that a lot of people will like with or without the powerful message and meaning that is delivered the last 15 minutes of the plot in the movie.
